    Forum Issues

I apologize for the ongoing issues with the forum. I realize that people are going to lose interest if they can't access the forum, or if they can't post photos. I have also noticed that the quote function isn't working. I have emailed the forum owner twice in the past month with no reply. She has always responded in a timely manner in the past so I hope she isn't having health problems or other difficulties that are preventing her from answering. I do not have the know-how nor the proper access to fix these issues. Some of my admin functions are also not working, like my ability to approve new users. At this point I do not have any answers. All we can do is hope for a response and a resolution in the near future.Tony

Thanks for the update Tony. Does anyone have their phone number to call and see if they are ok?

Tony, thank you for contacting me earlier today. As I had mentioned, I have not been in contact with Angie for a very long time. My last visit to this forum was years ago, and I don't know if Angie or Chris changed any forum settings or server settings. But I will look at the admin settings to see if anything looks out of place.

    Testing Posts With Image Attachment

This is just a test. Confirmed that attempts at adding an attachment that is within the required upload limit for a jpg file (146.5kb, max width 800px max height 800px) is not working.

Did Not Find Issues With The Settings

Tony, I looked at the vBulletin settings, but I did not see anything that would prevent attaching files to posts. I cleared the system cache, but it did not work. Other settings under 'Maintenance' enable the optimization and repair of the database tables, but they necessitate the presence of a specific file on the server. Even with the file in the right place, I wouldn't try this because it may cause more issues. Chris should be able to resolve the problems the forum members are facing. I'm sorry I could not be of better assistance.

You're welcome. I hope the issue can be cleared up soon. There may be a need to upgrade the forum software, but that's a decision Angie would need to make. Meanwhile, happy hunting, friend!

Hi Dave! It's a pleasure to hear from you. I have kept detecting over the years, though not as often as I would like due to work obligations. Nonetheless, I am still finding my fair share of old silver coins. I'm sure you've had successful hunts, too. I wish you more of the same!

Hi Ron! It is encouraging to see that you are still active in the metal-detecting community. I'm glad to hear from you. Personally, I have not been active on any forums, but I still participate in the hobby whenever I have the opportunity. Take care and keep hunting!
