My oldest US button and more...

I went up to my cottrage the other weekend and found more relics and trade silver. One of the highlights was an old hatchet...probably mid 1800's.

I went for a "wonder" deep into the woods and found a plain button and then found my oldest military button nearby. It is a US 16th Infantry cuff button and this style was made from 1798 to 1802.

And here is my trade silver that I found ...with a couple tinkling cones.

Thanks Tony! The button is a pewter button...the soil can be VERY kind to the buttons in most of the areas I detect there.
