Farm House Finds - Two 1903 St. Louis World's Fair Tokens

I recently got a new permission at a vacant farm house. The yard is nicely mowed so the detecting is easy. I'm not sure how old the house is but it is in the 1939 aerial photos. I'd guess that the house might be from the 1920s.

The highlight of my hunt was two different tokens from the 1903/1904 St. Louis World's Fair. They were both screaming signals about 6" deep.

The watch fob says Indiana State Seal.

I was hoping for some older coins but I will definitely take the ones I found.

It was a fun hunt, even if the heat did get to me. Name: coolinoff.gif

I just realized when updating my signature just now that the 1924 Mercury Dime was lifetime Merc #400 for me. That's a lot of dime digging.

Nice recoveries. I don't hunt to many but I like old farm houses for finding older tokens. I think the kids got them to use as play money as I usually find a higher than normal amount of them there. WD

Nice finds and I love digging at abandoned houses because I don't worry about the lawn as much. Is that part of a pencil sharpener? That 1917 wheat cent still has the brown color too!

Looks like a nice haul. Watch fobs are a mystery to me as I have only found 1 I believe. I would have thought that would be a pretty easy find but apparently I am not correct on that idea, Great finds and hope the pspot holds up for a few more good hunts. Congrats. WD
