    Cool Last minute saves

There's nothing better than hunting for hours and then getting down to the wire and finding the shiny before heading home.

That was my hunt today. With just minutes until I had to head home, I was able to find the Barber dime (1912-D) and the Buff. That was after almost 6 hours of nothing!

    Thanks for looking.

Congrats on your finds. That Barber Dime looks to be in very good condition.
I usually experience the exact opposite, I find a good coin in the 1st 15 minutes, then nothing for hours.

congrats on the barber Chris , i've actually experience both ...
sometimes going all day only to find something at the end of a long hunt or find the nice item in the first ten minutes and then go a whole rest of the day without a find. Rarely is it a steady consistent day of items .

Nice! That Barber looks to be in decent shape too! I did that this morning before work...spent about an hour plus with nothing and then I got a sweet tone that ended up being a Washington Q from 1960...then checked the time and realized I was going to be 5 minutes late to work.

    Congrats!

I tell myself that everytime as my time is running out. "Don't get discouraged, you'll find something right at the end". It never works out that way, but that thought keeps me swinging,,,

I usually dig the first target I find after ground balancing just to check my VDI's. On one occasion I dug a gold ring and on another a Barber dime. Not so much on the end of the hunt. Congrats on saving a couple of nice coins.
