    May Digs

I was able to get out a dozen times or so in May and I had some decent luck. I managed to find what I hope will be some productive new hunting spots but the ground was so dry towards the end of the month that I was not able hunt them too much. I finished the month with 10 silver coins, two Indian heads (including my first fatty), some relics of sorts, two mangled silver rings, a broken silver chain, about 50 wheats, and a little over $40 in clad.

I wish I could have gotten in more hunting than I did, but at the end of the day I'm pretty happy with the time I got!

    Happy hunting.

You may not be getting out too much Matt, but it looks like your making the most of your time with those finds!!
I know the feeling about the bent silver ring. It seems like almost every silver ring I find is bent.
I just went and got myself a ring mandrel!
Oh well...it's silver and it's still in your pocket now!
    Nice bag of goodies!
Congrats! (Specially on your first fatty!)

Great to see a post from you, Matt! I'd say you had a terrific May! Silver is always nice, but I think my favorites of your coins are the two Indian Heads. Congrats on your first Fatty! I still have never found one. What is the date on yours? The 1873 Indian Head is a nice find too, not a very common date.

Gotta love big silver too. Congrats on the Walker!
