Cheap Thrills

Here's the stuff that didn't get thrown away from my last few hunts at a spot I continuosly hunt because it's big , it's near , somewhat hidden and nobody bugs me . It's been pounded for years but every once in awhile it gives something up .The best four coins of the bunch were the heavily oxidized 44 Merc , 56D Rosie , 55D wheat and the 73 clad half . A clad quarter find is a big deal at this spot .
I'm still having difficulty finding new spots but I'm working on it . thumbsup01
Hey, any half dollar is good in my book! Don't see many of them. Congrats on your finds!

Keepers and nobody bugs you = great spot. That merc really is oxidized. I was at the park that is bein redone last night and once again a cruiser drove by, real slow.
Sheik , i agree with Cody ...
half dollars are very good finds , a big coin that shouldn't be missed . i hope the park continues to produce the finds .

George,
I wouldn't mind some slim pickings like that. |:cheering:
What kind of settings were you running on your T2?

Drew ,
On these hunts I was using the Explorer SE >8) I switch off between it , the T2 , M6 and on occasion a Tesoro built Troy X-2 .It depends what I'm up to .
Thanks for looking and your comments guys . :beerbuddy:

Congrats on the silver Sheik! I have a spot close to home that sounds just like yours. Very peaceful and out of the way. Its old and has been hammered for years. I have found deep coins from the 1700s here but good signals are very rare.

It's great to have a spot like that close by. You are doing very well there.
Nice score on the silver and Wheats. thumbsup01 The clad half is still a fun one to dig.
