Well folks had my first real chance to get out and detect today after work. Didn't use the V3 because I want a whole day to try it and fiddle around with it, so I fired up my trusty MXT. Went to a guy's house that he had burned down after being flooded out too many times. The property sites along a Creek and dates back to the 1830's -40's. Had a lot of noise becuse of trash and junk from the flooding I beleive, but persisted on till I got a good target that sounded nice, dug and found a '72 Memorial :-\. Had to be something more than this so I started wondering around just trying to get a feel for the property and eventually ended up about a hundred yards away from the cellar hole. Kept getting coal targets that registered pretty high VDI wise and bounced around a bit. Took a chance digging these signals thinking they were old coins. I was about to to call it the afternoon when I got a solid 88-91 signal. I dig and out pops the 1849 Large Cent thumbsup01. Turned out pretty rough after cleaning but I'll keep her. The quarter, dime and wheat were found at a different house that I 'm currently remodeling. Lots of fill and gravel at this site, so I don't have high hopes for this site. But, I'll definately be heading back to the cellar hole property with the V3 and will be testing out Jack's modified correlate program for sure. Thanks for looking, and HH.
