This year I have been hunting different . I have been re working schools that I have hunted over the past 14 years looking for gold . The school I hunted today is from the 1950's and is in a bad side of San Jose . The field is almost all weeded or just dead . I hunted it last year and pulled a nice big Military sterling ring . This school is so trashy it's hard to dig for gold . I decided to just dig +18 VDI and all other targets were +70 and above . Well it worked . I had three nickels in a row that were +18 , then the fourth one was not a nickel but a gold ring <: ! It is 14K with three small diamonds and is #70 for the year . I hunted for two hours and got pushed out by a soccer game . Other good find was a large Mission San Juan token . Total clad was $11.52 . thumbsup01

:shocked03: what a ring in a school yard? wow that is fantastic... i've go school yards and playgrounds on my list but it may take a few months to get to them, unless i skip the parks and waterfront camping areas.... what say you all? do I go for the school areas - playgrounds and church yards or stay on the camping areas known to be used from the early 1880's - 1940's:huh:
