Ive been hunting parks here in la crosse WI, those most hunted out parks of Wisconsin I would have to say. I have about 30 hours in for these finds, and here is what I've found. I wish I could find an old park that hasnt been hit hard.

Very nice claddagh ring and that 1916-S Merc looks to be in great shape! Looks like some great finds to me!
Very nice! Did that 1916 make your heart flutter for a moment? Congrats on your many finds!

Yeah, I skipped a beat when I saw the 1916. HEY, has anyone ever searched the outer rim of the green on super old golf courses:huh:thinkingabout: Or has anyone ever heard of someone doing so?
very good finds , congrats on the older merc and Claddagh ring , it looks like a pretty old park from the size of those trees and a nice area .

Don't think that the merc is the only one left in that park. If you found one you can find others. The park looks really great. Start to grid out an area, go low and slow, you'll get some keepers

Nice finds, looks like some great hunting! I would suggest getting out of LaCrosse and hitting township and county parks out in the smaller rural communities. My grandmother grew up in LaCrosse, I know some areas I would like to hunt over there, but I do not make it over there often.

Nice Mercury, there has to be more there. About the golf course, I know a guy that did the fairway on one without permission. I guess he thought cause he was a member that he could do it. He did it in the early Spring when it was closed. I would think that you'd have to hold a gun to someones head to get permission to dig any golf course. Oh, he said he got an Indian head. Congrats on the nice Merc.
