These are finds from my three recent hunts.
Thursday - Five Silver Coins And A Copper
I had some time on Thursday, so I took a drive to a site that had seemed promising. Once there though I soon soured on the site. Apparently most of the small square had been redone when an underground sprinkler system was added to the site. Most old coins that may have been there were likely now long gone. I still gave it a try, also working it along the edges, and picked up an old wheat cent. But it wasn't enough to keep my interest. I then headed to another small park, and from there I dug up a merc and a Roosevelt dime. Before heading home I made a stop at another site, and from there I dug up a 1817 large cent, a Washington quarter, a mercury dime, and a 1773 Spanish half reale.

Friday - 15 Indian Head Cents, 10 Wheat Cents, And A Mercury Dime
This Friday was a busy day for me, so I had not anticipated being able to go detecting. But then my afternoon commitment ended up being shorter than I had expected and I now had time to detect. However, I was in a suit and it was over an hour drive home. I did have my detector in the car trunk, as well as a pair of jeans and a pullover shirt. But no boots! >:{ Well, my dress shoes would have to do then. I changed, headed to a nearby park, and began to detect in fashion. I'm sure glad I decided to stay there, as I managed to dig up 15 Indian head cents, 10 wheat cents, and a 1916 mercury dime.
The Indian Head cents are dated 1863, 1882, 1884, 1885, 1888, 1892, 1896, 1899, 1903, 1906, 1906, 1906, 1907, 1907, and 1908.

Saturday - Four Coppers And A 1898 Barber Dime
Today afternoon I decided to revisit a site that had yielded several old coins during a few hunts last year. The day was perfect for it, with a slight breeze and just a bit on the cool side. It made for a pleasant time out. I spent about four hours at the site and picked up several keepers. The only silver I dug up is a 1898 Barber dime. The rest of the old coins are coppers - two large cents, a 1700's King George, and a 1787 Connecticut copper.
Not counting a Canadian copper and two unrecognizable corroded coppers, my total copper count this year stands at 37.
