Friday after work I decided to go back to the house that had given me a Barber dime. Well no silver but I did get 3 wheats and my 1st IH of the year, 1887.
Saturday morning Rob meets me at my house and we hit a ball field and then started knocking on doors. I managed to secure permission at a 1880's house and the homeown just said go for it. after about an hour with only some wheats in the pouch I got a 81 Vdi. Cut the plug, scanned the hole, still in there. Dug some more dirt out , put the pinpointer in, still in the hole. Dug some more and there is was, a Barber dime, 1905. Rescanned the hole, nothing, filled it back up and moved about 1'. Got a VDI of 83, cut the plug, scanned the hole, still in there. Loosend up some more dirt and put the pinpointer in and it started to sing. Pulled some dirt out ad there is was, a Barber quarter, 1898 O. Started to work my way towards the house and got a penny VDI 75, cut the plug and its a rosie, 1946.
Ended the hunt with 3 silvers and 8 wheats.
Rob scored some items and hopefully he will post, he's been pretty busy with his flip house.
