Two Mercs and four Wheaties after work today...

I returned to one of my after work parks today. This is the park where I had previously found three Indian Heads, two Mercs and two Rosies. Today I added two more Mercs to that total, and four more wheaties.

The first Merc was just a whisper of a signal, but it had that hint of silver to it. After I got my plug opened up the target probe gave me a solid 12-46 at the bottom of the hole. It ended up being a 1919 Merc.

The second Merc was a more obvious signal, one of those perfect silver dime signals that you can't believe is still in a public park. It was a 1920-D Merc.

All four of the wheaties I found today were from the teens: 1913-D, 1915, 1916 and 1917-D.

Here are today's keepers:

Thanks for looking and happy hunting!

Congrats on adding to your silver total. the 1919 looks pretty good. Seems that the section of the park where you are hunting is old. Keep digging

Nice finds Tony!! Nice to have a park close by thats giving up coins from the early 1900s thumbsup01 I know what you mean about the blatantly obvious signals in a well hunted park, I hit a couple of them this week too.Just goes to show, nobody gets thier coil everywhere.

Wow!! That is one heck of a park Tony. :clapping:
You are going to do quite well there this summer. :->
Those obvious 'dig me' signals are sure fun to get over. Makes a person realize that there
is still a little unsearched ground in just about every park.
Congrats.
