My usual after work park seems to have dried up on me, my last several hunts there produced only two wheat cents and some clad, so this week I moved on. I remembered a park in another town where I had found an Indian Head a couple of months ago but not much else, so I decided to try it again.
Last night I found two more Indian Heads, a couple of wheat cents and a Rosie. Tonight I found two Mercury Dimes and another Rosie. All of the silver has been in a bare dirt area next to where the cars park. Easy digging and I don't have to worry about killing the grass. lol
Here is the 1900 Indian Head, it is bent slightly:
62479
And a 1908 Indian Head, only my second 1908 IH ever:
62480
1919 Mercury Dime (no mint mark):
62481
1934 Mercury Dime (again no mint mark):
62482
Both of the Rosies are dated 1953, one is a D and the other is an S:
62483
Group shot:
62484
I was happy to hit 40 Indian Heads for the year, and pleasantly surprised to find four silvers in a public park. Thanks for looking and happy hunting!
