Met up with Silver Star(Mike) for our usual Saturday hunt, got out for around 6 hours at 3 different parks.Site one was an elementary school, found the 7.4g .925 sterling ring very close to the building near an exit door.Site two
was a park we had been to before and wanted to try again, I was having no luck at all in the dirt so I switched to the adjacent tot lot which was very clean with dry holes all over, on the side of the tot lot was a sand box, got a typical nickel signal on the AtPro(53) and looked down and found a gold ring half sticking out of the sand!, my first of the year.It weighs 1.2g and has no mark but acid tests 10k.It was getting late in the day but we wanted to hit
just one more park, this place was huge must be 10-20 acres with 4 baseball fields and some tennis courts.I was detecting behind the tennis courts near some old growth trees, had an odd penny signal and decided to dig, got a '63 penny, rescanned then dug another penny, rescanned then dug the 1951D Washington, my 23rd ,silver coin for the year.Had a great day with $10.83 in clad, two wheats, a '49 &'56.Thanks for Looking,HH.
