Got out today to a new site and nailed a barber dime fairly quickly happydance02 , but then three plus hours went by and only 2 wheats, and not even much deep clad >{, which tells me the site has been pounded hard. Gridding around the barber dime netted nothing.
Its a huge site so I wandered and wandered, figuring I was about to give up, but a barber dime in your pouch keeps you going, and glad I didn't give up, as eventually I hit the dateless SLQ happydance02. It was deep, not sure how deep (didn't measure), but the E-Trac barely picked it up. Started gridding around it, and had much better luck in this section, picking up 10 more silvers <: in a relatively small area (all very deep, iffy signals, or on their side), for a total of 12 on the day, and I think my third or fourth trifecta of the year. Also pulled a '35 buff. One of the dimes is a '19s, which is one I need for my dug mercs album. Scratched one of the mercs >:# (one of two '20s), as it was in the side of the hole as I cut the plug.
Thanks for looking and HH everyone.
