I thought about posting this in the relics section but I didn't think of these items as relics. Besides I was actually coinhunting. I went to a park that the sign says was established in 1935. Well the first find was a Chauffeurs Badge from Mass. I found one on Ebay and that seller had his listed as 1909. Looks like the same thing. I have seen them posted but I never thought I would get one.
This second item is a bronze bust of Grant. Measures 3 tall and roughly 3 at the base. On the base is the word GRANT. On the back of it it says AMES SD. CO. CHICOPEE, MASS. This is the same Ames co that made the swords. I know that they made bronze cannons and some big statues, one being in Indiana of U.S. Grant on a horse(I think Indiana). I have tried to look this up on the internet but I could not find a thing. If anybody knows anything about this item please respond.
I also managed to get 5 wheats.
Thanks for reading.
After spending alot of time on the internet I beleive that the bust of Grant is a paperweight. A antique shop in St. Petersburg Fl had one and they listed it as RARE. I couldn't get a price off of the website though.
