(yeah, yeah, yeah....I am notorious about not posting pictures, but the first order of business this evening is taking pics!) :white:usaflag::

[One gentleman on here had a comment that said something like Go slow and low....
Well, I cut my sensitivity drastically and and I slowed waaaaay down with my detector swings. Talk about a difference.....wow! I'm gonna hunt like this from now on.

Another gentleman said something close to - if there is alot of clad ranging in dates from the 60's, 70's and 80's, that the spot had not been hit hard! It's the absolute truth.

If I could remember who you guys were, I'd say thanks! :peace:

Anyways........first coin of the day was a 1916 Wheat @ 2 .....several 60's, 70's and 80's clad coins followed and then a 1934 Wheat somewhere around 2 ....I was hunting my way back to my van and I hit quite a bit of clad and then an old US Army uniform button around 3. It is the one from 1902-present. So, I'm still on my way to the van and I hit a Sterling Silver Cub Scouts Ring around 2. I looked it up and it dates in the 1940's-1950's.

This was a little over a 2 hour hunt. I am really excited about this location and I've barely scratched the surface!

Awesome hunt Zach! Congratulations :perfect10:

Photos are great, and I love that silver ring in particular :happydance01:

That looks like a really old lead weight. Neat find!

I went to this same spot again yesterday....

Just added a couple more wheats and a large round PALMOLIVE token....I'll add a pic to this post this evening.

:perfect10:! Very nice finds! I love the ring! I am kind of a beginner too. I have also slowed my swings way down. And like you said. What a differance. I have been working areas over again that I have all ready hit hard. And have found many more coins. And quite a bit of silver. All though, I have not lowered my sensativity. I get alot of ground mineralization sounds . But I am learning how to recognize the good sounds mixed in. Good luck with your future hunts. Congrats on all your finds! |:cheering: One more tip. If you reduce the size of your photo's. They will load much faster. :groovy:
