You are all right about the good karma coming back to me for returning the gold ring last week. lol
I got out for about an hour today at a small wooded park near my house in West Haven. It's ringed on all sides by homes and has been a park/open space probably forever. I decided to enter the park from the opposite side that I usually hunted at in the past.
I hit the first hole about 100 yards into the park but off to the side of the trail. It looked like two small pieces of an old Matchbox or something. Well, were I set my detector down turned out to be right on top of my next signal, a solid 90-91. Down four inches and inside the plug was a beautiful 1955 silver Washington, my first one for 2012!! <:
They very next signal about two feet away in front of a large tree was another solid 90-91. Could it be?? Well, dug the plug but was off because I saw the silver rim sticking out on the side about two inches down. I put the slightest nick on the edge. D'oh!! 8/ Well, this one turned out to be a 1945-S. Yippee!!!! happydance02 When it rains it pours, as the saying goes.
The rest of the hunt turned out to be a Matchbox fest, where I found 5 cars scattered about the area. The nicest is a 2008 Tesla Roadster. Sweet! Happy Hunting to you all! :groovy:
