Nothing like digging your oldest coin. She is a beauty and congrats. Good news on digging your oldest coin is that you can do it again.
congrats on your oldest :cheering: :cheering: :cheering:, but is it a coin or a token Kenstorm  i don't think there ever was a denomination put to those ... regardless it is a great piece of history you found and i like the pointed ray and scripted U.S. variety .
heres a decent write up on these pre-confederated pieces .

thanks del
my computer screen makes the nova look very dark so i can't really see alot of detail but you should be able to get a variety type .

So now how do you feel?.....some kid lost his/her lunch money, went hungry so you can find that coin lol
I might have to check my school yards. Haha
Awesome find, that is one of my favorite designs.

living where i do i cant imagine finding a coin that old great find dennis
Kenstorm , it looks close to the Crosby 5-E variety as the wreath on the back has 26 pairs of leaves , can you confirm this ?? it would be a scarce URS-8 on the rarity scale ( 65 to 124 examples known)
