colonial road produces copper

About 100 yards past the spot where I found the Barber half dollar this week I happened on a 1747 King George II copper. I am checking every inch of that road. I got a few flat buttons, 1830ish variety, and a wheat. I've only soaked the coin in water for an hour when I took this picture. I'm guessing I'll lose detail when/if I brush it with a tooth brush. hey Drew please be very gentle with that one , i believe its a Machin's mills counterfiet . it looks like a Vlack 1-47A variety ( a pretty rare one ) they start out at $600 in G-4 condition. huge congrats to you . :perfect10: :perfect10:

:) Hey , yeah , nice find man ! I agree with del as usual , the less you mess , the easier you'll rest . I just made that one up. I've had many coins that I messed around with a little, then decided to mess with it again and before you know it, it's worthless.
I learned my lesson early on and because of it many of my coins are worth more than they would of if I messed with them. I have a 1864 2center small motto that I did nothing to except rinse it off . I looked at Coin World's price guide and it's worth $125 in AG-3 and mines at least F-12.
Yours being a counterfeit first of all is a great find from a Historical point. That's always 1st on my list then comes value. According to del, he has, and I think he let me see it once is a Nice book on Colonials. Maybe it has values, but remember a coin is worth as much as on is willing to pay for. i say admire it for years to come and pass it down to a loved one. It's truly a wonderful Coin . Just think about what didn't happen yet while that coin was made.
