Had a blast. Several bullets and a few other goodies.
wow , nice lead :yes: :yes: , always nice to see a J-hook in there and wheres the plate to goes with buckle part:huh: very nice way to start the new year . i hope you find some more goodies there .

i see that you are from tennesee what part my parents live in rogersville in east tn i am hopeing to go there in the spring and go out with my dad he knows where a place on the mountain where they had a camp and small battle hope to find something well good finds dennis

Its a hook that was on their nap sack. There are triangled shaped ones that the j hook hooked to.

I'm right over the hill from Rogersville, I live in Greeneville. I have done a bunch of hunting over in hawkins county where your folks are. If you can gain permission in carters valley or along the holston river then you will find relics. I pretty much grew up in hawkins county.

i have not heard of carters valley i will ask my dad but as far as the holsten river they live only a mile from it i have fished it with my dad a lot thanks for the help dennis

Hit 11w going toward kingsport and carters valley is just a little ways up the road. There was a battle or skirmish there and suppose to have been a good one. I have been told and its an old story that they burried a confederate wagon over there that was full of supplies. No one has ever found it. I have heard them all because I ask alot. Lol
