OK, I had to get the oil changed in my car today. There was NO way I was going to sit in the waiting room for two hours! lol So, I grabbed my F2 and headed to some woods nearby.
My very first find was a gold 1971 Yale class ring <:! I couldn't believe it. What a way to start my hunt and the year!
Then I trekked into the woods and the signals dropped off. I found a few shotgun shell heads. Then I decided to see what I might get if I stuck my coil in the water of a little stream. Sure enough, I got a good signal a few inches deep. Man the water was :frozen:. Out pops what I think is a 3 ring bullet. Very heavy. Please give me more info if anyone knows about it. Bullets are not my area of expertise.
Finally on the way out I tried searching the edge of a small eroded section of ground with a drop off of about 20 feet. Right at the edge about an inch deep was this silver war nickel, my very first one! happydance02
Thanks for looking. Happy Hunting everyone!
