Hooked up for round 2 of the forum members hunt. Today I didn't fare as well as the other day but I always wanted a large designed tombac button and today was the day I guess.finds were slim so,here are my 2 finds lol
was a beautiful day. Dan rubbed my good luck charm and I think he was the one blessed today as well as George.they dug some nice coins.what a fantastic 2011 alot of us had and i'm dreading putting everything together for a year in review post.so much stuff I don't know where to begin :confused:

Dave, Wish I wasn't feeling under the weather and could have joined the A Team today. There are a few more holes in that neighborhood that I might try tomorrow morning, provided I continue to feel okay. I'll be the only detectorist out 7am New Year's morning. :grin: Nice looking button. Hope you guys stayed dry today.

hey Dave it was another good time , great to see Jesse too. |:cheering: as soon as George sends me a picture of that seated quarter i'll post it for you guys to drool over lol lol my cell phone just didn't stop ringing at that second place , first G to rub it in that he got big american silver , then you to ask if anybody got anything , after my Daughter Kimberly to ask me something and then the wife asked if i could pick up some milk before i got home :huh: between you all its amazing i got any detecting time in let alone enough to find a couple of King George coppers lol rofl lol . seriously though had a very good time , we'll do it again .

Thanks Dan! I have dug a few small designed tombacs & a large one with the scalloped type edge but never a large one with the machined etching like this.
Sorry to say but,you are a popular guy! we love callin ya rofl

I didn't find much but a BRIDAL ROSETTE....but the company was good and I finnaly got have a go with the F75....It was crazy to detect with so many people at once but we managed.

Ok , Dave heres my overall take for last thurday and friday , two musket rounds ( one was huge .69 to .72 caliber ( indian head in there for size comparison) two buttons a couple of pewter spoon pieces and two King George II coppers . i bet your all sorry for not rubbing Dave's Saint Anthony trinket now , huh :yes: :yes: we got to do it again gentlemen .

after some 37 years of detecting he has found seated dimes , seated half dimes and even a seated half dollar before but never a seated quarter and its one of the prettiest i've seen dug.
Wow the quarter looks like it never touches hands.

great hunt guys! Mikey's seated qtr is pretty much the same condition as that one.glad you guys had a good day.I got some vernier calipers so now i can measure my balls too! rofl
