View Full Version : More Silver
Well, I was off work today and had decided that I was through MDing untill after Christmas. But the 70 degree temps would not leave me alone. Soooooo off I went. Went to a rental house that was probably built in the 40's. In a very rough area of town as can be seen by one of the finds. Found $2.10 in clad, 7 wheats, 1926, 30, 44, 44D, 2-56D and a 57. Two Rosie's. A 1951 and a 52D. I don't know how I managed to hit the 52, but I did. Am sick about it, but it is what it is. That makes # 35 & 36 since May. Thanks for looking, Merry Christmas and HH.

That is some great hunting, Cody! I really like your photos! Don't lose too much sleep over scratching a 1952 Rosie, it's a nice silver coin but at least it wasn't an 1852 seated dime that you scratched. ;)
Congrats on the wheats and silver dimes! :clapping:

70 degrees...I could only hope. Congrats on the silvers, we all, well most of us have kissed a silver or another coin. Like Tony said, at least it was only a 1952. You keeping an eye on your surroundings in that part of town......

You can still melt the 52 with no loss of value. I just melted some quarters.... ended up with over $500. My wife found then in the till of the coffee shop 30's to the 60's. $5.50 apiece. That's a months tuition for my daughters ballet school. I kept a few good ones for the collection!

You sure you gashed it? It looks like it might have already been there from the pic. No matter, still a nice find.
