Hi All,
I haven't been on here in forever. Just busy with life and dealing with issues. I went out with my son today and found a 1820 Portuguese 40 Reis copper coin. It took me forever to figure out what I had, but here's one all prettied up as well. Amazing find for me... in Patterson Park? The Etrac is amazing. This coin weighs a ton. I scratched it, silly me. I thought it was a washer, it was so heavy.
hey Ken glad to see you back posting some finds thumbsup01 congrats on that huge old 40 Reis copper . |:cheering: |:cheering:

Many thanks, Epi
It was bouncing but mostly 11-47, 12-46 in that range. Since it was deep, I knew it was something good. I was just shocked it was such a huge old beast. I really wonder how it got there. I'm excited to get back at it tomorrow morning.

There must be alot more at that site if such a large deep coin could still be found. Good luck working it.

Randy, I agree, you'd think so. I went back on Saturday and just pounded the place. I found quite a bit of clad and 7-8 inch Memorials, but that was about it. I'm sure there's more stuff, the place is so big... about 137 acres in all.
Regards, Ken
