Got my oldest coin found while detecting this morning with the Fisher F5----and it was only 4 inches deep.
Out to an area that Germans settled in the 1840's and built a church in 1848 that is still being used.
By chance Google Earth showed a tiny park area next to a creek so I took my F5 to clean up the park.
Got some clad.

A wheat cent, and an Indian Head penny and my prize!!!!!
