View Full Version : New Illinois Fairgrounds Video in Hd And story behind it.

Did some research last winter and had some time to check out my findings. I drove to the town where the pre civil war fairgrounds once stood and made a contact. I was told that yes that there was once a fairgrounds there. I recieved permission and made the trip to the fairgrounds Saturday. Dennis H joined me for a 8 hour hunt. I found a 1852 three cent coin and a 1857 flying eagle one cent coin. I also found a 1937 merc. We where told there was a ball field in the thirties was there once. It was turned into a farm field after that. We had a great time. Dennis found a 1856 half dime. We will be back once the corn is down.

Yep, those are three amazing coins that are seldom found! Congrats on the great research and terrific finds! I can't wait to see what you find after the corn gets harvested!

Congrats on a great hunt! I am always thrilled to see great research pay off! Sometimes the research is almost as fun as the hunt itself!!

Congrats on some very nice finds! That field looks too big for just two guys, so let me know if you need some help,LOL.

First off, welcome to the forum! Those are 2 coins you don't see here on AD too often, the trime and flying eagle :clapping: Amazing that you found them in such a huge open area :shocked04:stretcher:

And congrats to Dennis on the half dime! I bet you guys were doing a lot of happy dances :happydance01: happydance02 <:
