Yep, another lone Merc. How'd you guess? lol
I went to a park after work today, one that I have hunted many, many times this year. I am honestly amazed that there are still wheats and silver there. It is my trusty standby place when I don't have anywhere else to hunt.
I found the 1920 Merc within the first half hour, then couldn't find another silver to save my soul. The two religious medals were within a foot of each other, unfortunately they're aluminum, not silver. Only three wheat cents, all from the 1940s and 1950s.
I thought the clay marble was neat. I have found many glass marbles in the ground but I have never found a clay marble before. That was a first for me. Kinda cool!
Thanks for looking and happy hunting!
EDIT: It seems that my math was slightly off. This was actually my 41st silver coin of the year.

Nice!! <:
Congrats on hitting 41. With so many detectorists out there, 41 is a great accomplishment Tony. :clapping:
A Merc is a great one to find. Question for you, the clay marble looks a lot like a musket ball from here.
Weird, I've got a 'standby' park that yields almost identical finds/numbers for me. Mine isn't great with numbers either, but with
careful listening I will pull out just about the same.
Great hunt, keep in mind that I'm looking forward to you posting silver #50 this year. :->

Thanks everyone! Fifty silvers gives me a nice goal to shoot for. (Fingers crossed.)
Question for you, the clay marble looks a lot like a musket ball from here.
I'm pretty sure it's a common clay marble. It's definitely not made of lead, it's too light in weight. Musket balls aren't too common around here, in fact I don't recall ever finding one.

Congrats on the silver including the religious pendants. I see them as sort of a bonus when coinshooting, and sweet that you scored two of them happydance02

Congrats on the 41st (so what was the 40th?)! Wish I had a 'standby' park like that. I thought I did, but the last two times there I struck out. :crying02:
I love the clay marble too. My first thought was that is was a musket ball too.

I guess my 40th was this lone Merc and I didn't even realize it at the time:
