Two Clad Pennies, PP Depth Sorta Odd

OK, I search my own yard A LOT, gotta be drained by now, but went outside and found a 75 VDI up near the new cement road they built. It read 2.5 inches, but the coin popped up under an inch. I re swept the hole and got another 75 hit at 4, and another penny surfaced within an inch. One penny was fairly new, the other an old one. Wierd that they were so shallow but read deeper. Every other thing I've dug here, mostly trash, has been fairly on target. Wonder why that is? martin

Yea. The only difference was that there is road rock I was shooting through for the first half inch. martin

Could have been at a slight angle and not perfectly flat
