1903 Morgan Dollar - Sorta...

I didn't know whether to post this in the Relics section or the Cleaning section so I am posting it here! Posted it elsewhere, mostly mixed in with other finds, and really have not got any information.
Have been hunting a drought stricken lake bed for several months and making some good finds. Got a good signal less than 2 and start to excavate. I see big and round. I see eagle wings. Pull it out and yup a Morgan. With a hole at the top. Ok a Morgan necklace. Start rinsing and uncover a total of 7 holes. Ok a Morgan whirligig toy. Clean a little more and see &quot:beerbuddy:AD stamped into each side. Now I am thinking what the heck? The edge shows some reeding and some delamination. Does not appear to be silver. What kind of fake is this? Is it more rare than the real thing? I can't find any information on any coin with &quot:beerbuddy:AD stamped on both sides. Anyone got a clue?
Thanks, Ron

is the bad morgan the same size and thickness as a real morgan if so then i has to be a counterfiet silver dollar and i would bet that someone caught on that it was a fake and made sure it didn't fool anyone else . its still a pretty cool find . :peace:

A coin/ring game would be neat.

Yes it is the same size as a real Morgan. Was wondering if banks used to pass out bags of dummies like that when they got robbed... On the trail of some local legends and would be good to know. Still don't know if I should be happier with what I found than the real thing... One of a kind from what I can tell. :daydream:

Always something new. I think you'll end up liking it at least as well as a normal coin. Nice conversation piece.
