I've been really bad lately about posting my finds. I also have not been on the forum as much...I'm actually having to work.......BUT I am still getting out detecting! :peace:

So I am trying to catch up on some postings..this will be the first of several....

A few weeks ago, I went on vacation to the beach town of York, Maine. I hate beach hunting....clad, clad, clad. Knowing the age of the area, I decided to find some spots to coinshoot and possibly relic hunt. I wasn't able to get out as much as I wanted, and I did come home a few times during the Vacation for work >{.

However, the first time out, I hit an area near a school..two hours into it and some clad, I was about to give up on the spot, but I decided to make one more pass down my grid....Got a nice hit...about 5 inches down a nice Colonial Button <: I shifted my grid, and buttons were coming out all over the place :happydance01:..got some nice colonials, and 2 I think were from ladies 1800s wear. I also got this piece of shot, about the diameter of a half dollar. I also scored 2 wheat pennies.....but where was the old coins  :dontknow:

I came back the next morning and hit the area again.......nothing >:#

I then drove around and found a common area, I had one spot I was pulled many wheats from...but no silver >{. The rest of it seemed to be fill, digging memorials and 80's jeffersons at 6-8 inches

It was much better than beach hunting anytime!

No benchmarks. The 2 1800s might have at one time, but one one, the back is completly gone and the other so coordded
