Got cool enough to go detecting

As most of you that live in the south central states-- it has been unusually HOT this summer. In August--all but 1 day was 100 degrees or more in the Houston area..one day it got up to 109 !!!! And that is the thermometer readings not any heat indexes.

So when the tropical storm got into the gulf the last few days the temperatures dropped almost 30 degress yesterday morning.
This morning I put fresh batteries in my Fisher F5 and hit a bankable schoolyard totlot and grounds.
After 3 1/2 hours I had my best clad day ever.

Great hunt and glad to see that someone can get out. That storm that you mentioned is dumping about and inch an hour here. Me and the detector are stuck in the house :crying02: Looks like you had a good time. thumbsup01

Man... that is an amazing clad take for a day of hunting. I'm lucky to pick up a couple bucks worth.
It is nice to see the cooler temps arrive. The other day I had to put on a sweatshirt for the first hour of detecting in the morning. :shocked04:
Congrats on getting back out there and finding lots of targets.
