Went MDing and found a privy

I went out Sunday afternoon for a short two hour hunt at a park. I took a different way and eyed up a construction site on the way. Pulled over and stopped to check it out. I spotted that the excavators had unearthed a privy so I took a peek. Spent over an hour going through it looking for bottles and metal objects with my pinpointer. Managed to find six basic bottles, including an 1883 Bixby tall aqua ink (bottle on far right). Amazing that these folks just dig up history and no one really pays attention. I think someone was there before me, but I was happy with what I found, sure was interesting. Privy digging has always interested me.

Cool find. I have always wanted to dig one of those, but it sounds too much like work lol Yep, it looks 1880's/90's. Clear glass is never a good sign lol But the aquas are nice. thumbsup01 It is sad that construction companies don't allow people to dig them up before they destroy them >:/
