Outlaw 1-3

Last Sunday, my boys and I were heading out to South Padre Island. We stopped in Weslaco,Texas to get some Cokes and made a wrong turn. Driving down the street to find a place to turn around, we drove by Weslaco City Park. It looked like a big park with lots of fun places to hunt, so I made a mental note to head back when I had a chance. The opportunity to go back was yesterday afternoon and this morning.
I only hit one tot lot yesterday afternoon because the Rio Grande Valley sun was brutal. I found about $1.25 in clad and a junk ring from Disney. I went back again this morning at 7:30am before the sun had a chance to get too hot. I found $3.85 in clad and a few miscellaneous items including 3 toy cars.
I was sitting at home today documenting my finds and decided to test the Disney ring. After all, I just got my silver/gold/platinum test kit in. Imagine my surprise when the acid reacted and turned the metal rub bright red ... it was silver! It's just a small little girls ring and weighs a whopping 1.02 grams, but it is my first official silver nonetheless.
Pics include the ring - which has a stone in it ... wonder what it is - and the acid test.
