June was a bad month for me detecting-wise, as I had to put detecting on hold in order to take care of a few important matters. Family first.
The few times I did manage to get out were for very short hunts, but I was rewarded with a few silver pieces. This Saturday was the first day I was able to spend some quality time at an old park. It sure felt good to spend a good amount of time swinging the E-Trac.
I had a good mix of finds, which made the hunt even more enjoyable. :smitten:
The 1876 seated dime was in the same hole as a shield nickel. I can't make out a date on the nickel though.

The 1846 large cent had me going at first. It had been at about the nine to ten inch mark, so I was hoping for an old silver quarter, especially when the probe got a whiff of it. lol But the large cent sure held up well for being dug from a park, so I was happy.

I also dug up this old Chinese coin.

The coins together, including a 1864 2-Cent piece. It is my seventh 2-Center this year, matching my total of last year.

The rest of the finds, four Indian Head cents, the oldest dated 1864, and nine old wheat cents.

Late this afternoon I was able to spend a few hours detecting at a local site, and scored with a 1833 large cent, a 1882 Indian Head cent, and four wheat cents. The large cent is my 34th this year.
