Sunday night hunt at the park produced some keepers. :happydance01:

As you can see the Merc was entombed in moist clay. Lots of sulfide build up. I used the cleaning
method described Here to remove most of the tarnish and keep the natural looking patina.
Quite a difference in the before and after pictures of the Merc.

Popped out a few wheats and this 1942 Half Penny too.

Aside from the bugs, it was a very pleasant evening in the park.
 
The Merc cleaned up nicely :yes: Angels method really works good don't it thumbsup01 :yes:
I really like the half penny! 8) I don't believe I've seen one of those :thinkingabout: :dontknow:

Very sweet finds, the half penny is cool. Different old foreign coins are always neat to find.
 
Good job on the Merc thumbsup01 But that ain't a half penny :eyebrow: :eyebrow: :eyebrow: At least not the kind I was hoping to see lol Nice digs :clapping:
