Yesterday I found my first Barber coin,it was a 1899 Half dollar at 2 inches.I found a 1940's something wheatie and a large mens silver ring.Almost had to take a nitro when I saw the half.I've been using Magics setting with a slight tweak for my soil.I used the 5.3 coil in an area of heavy nails.there were nails in the plug.Bill

Excellent recovery....a Barber 1/2 is on many peoples list, but not yours anymore. Congrats. I also swing a V3i and have found my 1st Barber 1/2 this year. I haven't gotten around to doing any customizing to the programs. I sometimes run c&j in 1 freq (2.5).

Great job on the barber Half. I tweaked Magics program today also, it to paid off in Barbers. You just have to love this hobby I'll post about my finds in the stories section after the boy that owns the class ring stops by to pick it up. He should be here any time.
Congrats. :clapping:
