Hi and welcome from Maine.
hello Aaron and welcome to A.D forum , what kind of detector do you swing and where do you like to hunt at most.
Dan
Dan, I just got a Garrett Ace 250 and have not gotten out yet. I know it's odd but Oklahoma got hammered with snow on Chritmas eve followed by very low temps.
I hope that in the next couple of weeks things will be back to normal and I'll be hitting the ground..
hey Aaron the garret 250 is a great starting machine and have heard good things about it , ya lets hope for a nice little warm snap to thaw things up . theres a bunch of great people here that are always willing to help and answer questions and i know there are atleast one or two other detectorist out your way .

Welcome aboard Aaron!! Glad you found us. Feel free to ask questions, we'll try and help you get started. You picked a good first machine, not too complicated and not just a toy. My advice to you is to practice with your machine and a bunch of targets (coins, keys, pull tabs, bottle caps, gold ring, etc...). Try and see how deep your machine can go in an air test. Change some settings and get a feel for how your machine responds to each target. By the time the snow melts :ticked: you will be ready to hit some ground thumbsup01

Welcome from Chester County, PA. Started with an Ace 250 -- that machine found silver and gold. Good luck with it.

Glad you joined up here, some amazing detectorists on this site!
Jason and et al,
Sorry I forget to say what part of Oklahoma I live. I live and work in the Oklahoma City area. I plan to start hunting some of the local areas here as well as south of the city to a couple of old homesites.
