Miss SLQ! <:
I've been waiting for this one for almost two years.
It was still close to 90 degrees at 7:30 tonight when I decided to head out and hunt until dark. Sure glad I did.
I didn't get my coil over many 'dig me' signals, but the SLQ finally graced me with her presence. :smitten:
It feels great to be able to scratch this 'first' off my list.

No... didn't hit this one. lol I wished I would have brought my camera along, because it was picture perfect. The coin was very close to a metal pole, but I could pinpoint it pretty easily with the detector. Dug a small diameter but deep plug and there the it was... stuck dead center on the bottom of the flipped plug. I could see it was a SLQ before I even touched it. Yep, did one of these... :happydance01: with a little <: thrown in. lol

You did not show the back, if there ar no stars under the Eagle then it is a Type 1 with either 1916 or 1917. The 1916 can be verified by some other details, the 1916 is worth mucho bucks even in a very worn condition. The 1917 was changed mid year and three stars were moved to below the Eagle and Miss Liberty was given a more modest gown! Below is the picture of a 1917 Type 1 that I found ...in fact the only SLQ I have found and to top that it was the first Silver quarter that I found!

Kinda hard to tell from his obverse photo, but I think it's a Type II, as you can vaguely see the neckline of her garment which was added to the Type II coins. I don't know, it's hard to tell.
The reverse should tell you for sure. thumbsup01

Yeah, it does have the stars under the Eagle on back. I noticed the different types when I went to the Red Book to possibly get a date.
I'm guessing it probably falls in the 1917 to 1924 range because it does not look to have the depression in the pedestal that was
started in 1925. By the way... the 1917 you found is a beauty Bell-Two.
