I've been busy with work these last several days, so I thought I would catch up with my recent hunts in one post.
Saturday I made it out for just a tad more than an hour to test drive an old foundation. See it here. (http://www.americandetectorist.com/forum/index.php?topic=5623.0)
Hunting these types of locations is a WHOLE different ball game. I must have put the equivalent of 200 hours on my coil during that 75 minutes. I banged, snagged and scuffed it on everything possible that morning. It is definitely a challenging way to hunt and my respect goes out to all you cellar hole hunters. |)
I did come up with these items. Any thoughts as to what the handle item is?

Sunday morning I hunted with a few friends that got me started in this hobby. Or as they say...
Responsible for creating the beast. lol
We went to a park on the Wisconsin side of the river for a little while in the morning.
I came up with these few keepers. I'm definitely planning a return trip to this little park
in a farming community. Gotta be some silver hiding there.

Monday evening I spent a little time before sunset at another park. Came up with a few keepers.

Tuesday evening I tried another small and very, very trashy park and pocketed these goodies.

Wednesday night I got in a few more hours at the same park I hunted last night. Loaded with some great advice
from Angel for hunting trashy parks... I managed to pull a silver and what is left of another one. Fire damage?

I know it's hard to see from the pictures, but viewing with a loupe I can see arrows under the Seated Liberty, stars on the obverse and text on the reverse. I can also make out 'Dim' on the back. So I would date this Seated dime between 1853-1855 based on the Red Book. :clapping:
Sorry for the long post and thanks for sticking with me on this one.
