silver star

Meet with Rob (tech125) today for couple hours of hunting. We hunted couple new spots with out any good finds, only 1928 wheat to show for. He left home and I decided to go and hit one of my favorite old schools for couple hours. That school produced some great finds for me in 3 years of detecting. Very first target got good quarter signal at 8 inches down. Usually deep targets bounce on my Ace 250 but this time was solid quarter signal. Cut the plug, got some more dirt out and there was nice 1943S silver quarter in the hole. Only couple feet from quarter I got again solid dime signal again about 8 inches down. Cut the plug and got me 1952D Rosie. After that spent hour more with just little clad and no more silver coins. Walking toward the car and swinging Ace 250 got deep bouncy signal but in coin range. After cutting the plug and removing some dirt at 9inches pop this nice 1898 Barber dime. That was first coin from 1800 from this place that I found. Total in clad for today hunt $3.05. Thanks for looking and good luck to all. HH Mike
