View Full Version : Good variety today. First V nickle, silver and more

My wife and I did some woods hunting today and came out with a few goodies.

I found my first V nickle, 6 wheat pennies, a 1917s Merc, and a 1944 silver 20 centavos Filipino coin. My wife found 3 wheaties, a 1945P War nickle, and a cool President Tyler token.

Yesterday I hunted a local park I have been to many times. Found $1.25 in clad and a big silver ring. It's bent up but it weighs 1/3 ounce.

Love the Twenty Centavos. :smitten: That's a very nice keeper for your collection.
The ring from the park is a big chunk... lots of silver but a crazy design.

wow. what a whale of a hunt .. you covered all the good stuff.. that phillipino 20 centavo is my fav .. there are 2 versions of tha coin . i found one of teh other version last year . i didnt even know that occupation coins existed until i found one

They are all sweet finds! That is a neat ring too. I have not seen one with that type of design. thumbsup01

Congrats on the V nickel and the huge silver ring :shocked04: :clapping: That Phillippines coin was minted at our mint in Denver. I have found the smaller 10 Centavos one myself. Kinda strange to see USA on it :confused: It looks like a real nice hunt with some very good finds. :beerbuddy:
