Spectacular day yesterday !! I went to school I hadn't been to before. Not a whole lot of coins there but I kept finding all kinds of trinkets. There I found 2 rings (one is .925 silver), a little box trinket, and an alien and others too. I laughed when I dug the alien out of the ground. Never expected to find that. The first thing I saw was the face and I thought, What the heck is that !!
Then I went down the highway a ways and met up with a buddy of mine. We went back the school that I had gone to about a month ago when I found 148 coins in one day. Well, since I had already hunted the heck out of that school I thought I would take my 6x10 coil off and put on the 950 coil. That did the trick. I searched much of the places I had searched before and started finding more stuff. First some dimes, then the first ring (a junk one), then the 14 kt gold ring, then another junk ring. I was on fire by that time. The junk rings I was finding there seem to look all the same like maybe it was a school ring or something? Not sure. Then I found a bullet. It's 80 grains and looks to be about 32 cal. ?? My buddy found some coins too but was struggling to zero in on stuff. It's kind of trashy there and he's not used to his MXT.
Fun day of detecting that yeilded 1 gold ring, 1 silver ring, and 3 qtrs, 17 dimes, 5 nickels, and 27 pennies......... 53 coins total.
I love the MXT Pro. What an awesome machine and so fun to use.
I have found 13 rings so far since December.
