Oh Boy did it feel good to finally get out! Tim and I were pounding out some research on a (hopefully) new honeyhole and stumbled on to a sweet new place to hunt in the process. Tim tracked down the owner and had him meet us at the site. Super nice guy and practically bent over backwards for us! I told Tim I wish all of them would go this good! The site is an old farmhouse which I'm guessing dates back to the 1850's. The owner is restoring the house and it looks really nice. We only had about an hour and a half to hunt after we got done shooting the breeze with the owner for about 45 minutes. We both scored a couple of wheats right off the bat. There was about 2 inches of snow still in some places and made it a little tough. There's a bunch of targets that weren't dug simply because it was very muddy and I wanted a solid signal before diving into the muck. Tim and I both got really good signals at the exact same time about 10 feet from eachother... The race was on to see who got the first silver. Both signals were about 6 inches deep. I was hoping for a double silver at the exact same time, but it wasn't to be... Tim's was a clad dime... Mine was a 1907 O Barber Quarter!! So, silver #1 is in the books and we are hoping to hit the site again Wednesday evening. Here's the pics... Next hunt, we'll remember to take our video cameras....

Great find . The way it is worn especially on the backside it looks like it was someone's lucky piece that they carried in their pocket . thumbsup01 8)

Hey Brian, I am really jealous and :envious: that you get to go out lol What a great start :clapping: But I have to ask, did you rub in that clad dime to Tim rofl That place probably wasn't hunted and if you guys get it on a nice dry day, it should make for some good footage. Great seeing a Barber come out of the ground. :happydance01:
