Sand/tot lot today

I had a little bit of free time today so I hit a spot I haven't hit in quite awhile .It's a very small sand lot playground in a large park where you are allowed to detect on the grass but you can't dig \:hammer: :crazy: It's a real shame because it was the site of an old motel during the 50's and earlier .The gardener there is like the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld :angry: and I can actually picture him in a storm troopers uniform .So no one I know (including me) hunts the sacred lawn. |:confused:) I hit the sand for about an hour and 40 minutes and was quite pleased with the results .I got several sand tools , a car ,plane ,$1.43 in small change ( not a Quarter in the bunch), a phony diamond button and 3 tiny pieces of silver jewelry the biggest being a small childs ring (clad dime alongside for size comparison ).I also dug a few pieces of foil and junk . I was using the Troy X-2 with the Super 7 coil .The weather was beautiful and no one bothered me . 8)

Congrats on the silver :happydance01: I like the plane too. I used to have a big version of that as a kid, complete with flashing lights and it moved and turned by itself lol My parents threw it away, and now they are worth big bucks :crying02: I'm can't believe he let's you dig with a shovel there lol I though it would be bare hands only :shocked04: Nice to see someone getting out and getting some silver to boot!! :beerbuddy:

I really dig that ring !! :peace: 8) It's tiny...but it's cool !
I found a tiny silver ring late last season and it's one of my favorite ones I've found.
Three pieces of silver in one hunt is great any way you look at it !
Heck I'd just like to get out right about now lol

still a nice little hunt, Ive heard of sites like that that you cant dig but you can use a probe :crazy: thats one to do a little research into, it maybe the groundsman putting his on rules in place .........

I think you should try and make friends with the guy,offer to bring along another tector so he could hunt while you have at the lawn,let him see how little damage is done,may just open up a honey hole of treasures...best of luck,Dave

That is a cute ring. I like it. The toy plane and car look like good candidates for a bit of restoration.. I bet they would look great!
