Ok,,,here's a few of my carvings. I LOVE to do relief, but once in a while I will do in the round and a few faces,,,which I stink at,,,,,Going to a judged competition show this coming weekend.
The last 4 pics are a deep relief that I just finished last week. I've got about 200 hours in this one. It measures 16 tall x 24 wide x 2 deep

Do you do any carvings of tree trunks? There are a few of those around my hometown in Iowa.

Thanks Del,,,I use gouges and skew chisels ,,V tools,, and some power carving.

Great work :clapping: Lots of talent and of course hours lol It's hard to appreciate the skill and time needed to create a picture done in wood. Congrats on bringing to life what is only a brief image in the mind thumbsup01

Hey Russell,,,occasionally I will sell a relief carving,,,but after putting a couple hundred hours in one I get kinda attached to them. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: I will sell my Santa carvings and bark carvings though,,,,at the moment I am fresh out of those but will be carving more this winter!!
