Totally off topic but I wanted to share some of my favorite pictures. Before I retired from the AF we were very fortunate to live on the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We were within a few hundred yards of the Front Range of the Rockies. The wildlife we had come through the yard was amazing. I hope you enjoy these shots.

Cheers,
My4Kiwis aka JD

Great pictures! Thanks for sharing. Up here in Northern Colorado we get fox, bear and dear in the yard from time to time. I have never seen bucks like that however. Those are nice muleys!

We were very lucky...we would also get the fox, coyotes, an occasional elk and I even have one fuzzy picture of a mountain lion. As an avid hunter/fisherman/outdoorsman, I was in heaven!

Howdy Amigo!
Those are some wonderful critters wandering around your yard.
I wonder if you ever had the pleasure of an outing to Jack's Canyon while on base there.
That's where the zoomies do some of their combat training.

We get coyote and racoons meandering through our neighborhood, but there is some
wildlife I could do without. Namely... skunks! Our neighborhood flanks Sand Creek, and
there are deer back in there that I see quite often.

That bear caused me to recall a large camp we had up near Wilkerson Lake, and we
had maybe 100 folks all camping in a group. One guy had a wooden footlocker that he
threw a hasp on and padlocked with all his food inside. He figured it would be secure
enough. A bear came into our camp and just busted through the wood like it was
tissue paper. For all the food in that footlocker, including a good variety of meats,
the only thing the bear absconded with was a package of Brown and Serve dinner
rolls. Later that night, we heard folks shouting about a bear in their camp. We learned
later that it could have made off with a variety of food carelessly left out on a table,
but it only took a bottle of squeeze Parkay.

Dinner rolls? Squeeze Parkay? Maybe them critters aint such dumb animals after all!

Thanks for sharing some really great wildlife shots amigo!

Blessings,
M-Taliesin
