Well I got out for a couple of hours after the temp's got up around 30° this morning. I went to the local grade school and didn't get much to show. The wood chips were froze solid without any good hits. I thought I might have a gold ring, but after cleaning it had rust on it. So I finished the day with 2 dimes, 2 nickles and 7 pennies with the oldest being a 1960. One junk wire ring and part of pin.

That's a much better hunt than mine was lol I packed it up for the season :crying02: Glad you had a chance to get out and detect for a while. They aren't all great hunts, but it's always a pleasure to at least go out in the fresh air!

You got my last hunt of the year beat thumbsup01 I got a nickel and a zinc. Couldn't get out detecting today cause of the rain but it sure was warm and all the snow is gone and tomorrow the temps are dropping back down again.

I didn't see anything on it Dale to indecate it was a boy scout item. I think it is some kind of saint pin. JMG
I'm a thinking there will be to much snow and ice to go back to work in the woods Monday..

You win some and you loose some.
But... at least you got out with the potential to find the goodies. I probably won't get to swing the detector until the end of February if I'm lucky.
You'll get 'em next time. thumbsup01
