Friday we got a little snow, but on Saturday it was pretty nice, melted all the snow, making my last hunt a very sloppy one :-\ but was happy to get out for a couple hours...
Besides a couple wheaties, I end with 2 more mercs and a 1929 New York dog tag.. :clapping:

Final count for the year : $368.23 in change, 8.64 ounces of scrap silver, 1 gold ring, 133 silver coins and 7 Large copper coins

Now its time to work on my end of year video :cheering:

Awesome way to end the year!! <:

133 silvers is very impressive. Plus, there are quite a few nice ones in that total.

About when do you folks get to start the new season out there? This year, I was able to find some thawed areas at the end of February.

Congrats on a great year Scott. :beerbuddy:

I generally try to get out in mid Feb, if the ground isn't thawed enough, I hit areas with south/Southwest facing hills or slopes, they get the most sun during the day and are typically thawed enough to hunt..

Great silver coin count Scott! :happydance01: :happydance01: :happydance01: All around good year for you, I've enjoyed your pics and posts :) I'll keep a look out for your end-of-year video.

btw this is my first full year hunting totaling 25 silver coins- not too bad for a newbie. Now let's see how 2011 treats us both!

Very nice totals. That is my goal for next year to come close to 100 silvers, but since I only had 12 this year I really need to do some more research. At the end of this year my totals picked up when I finally started to understand my machines language (if you folks know what I mean)
Some of my other goals are my first large cent, barber anything, pre 1900 coins, and some gold of any form.
