meteorite

On my way to see a west point hockey game I saw something fly across the sky just over the tree line....had a dull light. 1/2 across my sight line I said to my son what's that, he saw it too and couldn't explain it. He agreed a probable meteorite.....wish i had noted the location as we know they are valuable! Woinder if there will be anything left?

They typically burn out miles above the ground. If it looks like it land just over that way its probably a hundred or more miles away.

They are cool to see though!
